“ My group had a great dinner experience thanks to Sebas. He gave us great recommendations and was super cool. Highly recommend coming to this location and having Sebas or any of the servers here to serve you! ”
“ I recently took my mother, who is over 90 years old, to Kalaveras for dinner. It was the first time for us both, and we both enjoyed the visit. The restaurant is much larger than we thought, very clean and all of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Our server was amazing, helping with information and suggestions. The food was delicious, though I would appreciate more vegetarian selections - I was able to enjoy what I ordered. The atmosphere is lively, and the decor well done and inspired. I definitely recommend giving Kalaveras a try. *Parking can be challenging, but handicap spaces are available for those who may need them. ”
“ My group of 9 had dinner at Kalaveras after a round of paintball at Hollywood Sports around the corner in Bellflower. It was a pretty standard Mexican menu (with a few speciality items) but the vibe was more trendy and variety of music. We got a variety of thing but the stand outs were: Hibiscus Margarita for drinks, Guacamole with Chicharrón for starters and Taquitos Dorados for the main. There was a lot of staff so we were constantly being waited on. There's a food hall next door - Steelcraft - where some folks got dessert after. ”
“ We had the cilantro rice here when they first opened. And it is WOW!!! But I haven't seen it in a couple of years. Other items we've tried here... QUESO FUNDIDO (Chorizo and mustrooms) = delicious Chicken TAQUITOS DORADOS = delicious .... This is my go to when I'm here just for the drinks. Their Tacos Gobernador are also good. My hubby says their Aguachiles are okay. He likes super spicy. Their drinks are good. Sometimes they are great. I think it all depends on who's working that night. The drinks and food have great presentation. This location can get packed. Nice views when there are parades or car shows. Suffice parking. Chill spot for friends and family. No reservation needed. Staff is nice but at times they can seem very busy and sometimes lack checking up on you. Pricing is reasonable. Always a fun place ”
“ I went with a some friends and we had a good time, Katalina was so nice and she made great cocktail and food recommendations. ”
“ I had a good run of five years of not eating meat. I've been put on a really strict diet of vegetables and fruits and proteins. I finally had to give in and wake up the little carnivore inside of me. I'm allowed a cheat day and I chose to take it on taco Tuesday. Delicious delicious delicious thank you Mexican people all around the world for your delicious food. Tacos are something special and this place really knows how to do it! Five stars ”
“ Ever had one of those days where you don't feel like doing any cooking or worry about cleaning up? That was me yesterday so I checked the time and realized I would make happy hour. I'm so glad I did. Service from Ashley was superb right from the start. She gave me the insight on new menu items and the deals they had outside of happy hour. Ordered 3 appetizers and a couple of drinks off the happy hour menu. It was just right amount of food for 2 people. The chips and salsa are also great but I had to hide those otherwise I would be too full lol. Ambiance was nice and chill but I could tell they were going to be busy later as there was like a party or 20 coming in for a bday. I'll definitely be back more often to try more items off the menu. ”
“ Went to have lunch for tacos Tuesday. Have to say it was one of the best taco spot for lunch. You can't beat the price of $1.49 each taco. Such an amazing deal! The tacos were delicious! I had picked the carna asada and barbacoa for my meat. Had also ordered nachos and margaritas flight which were delightfully indulging. Really enjoyed our dining experience with good customer service provided by our server. Cute spot to dine in with vivid decorations. Will definitely revisit! ”
“ Kalaveras is our go-to Mexican spot in the Long Beach area. Good food, good vibes, and the atmosphere and music just puts you in a good mood. The ambiance gives weekend-y vibes if that makes sense lol. In terms of food, what I liked: Pasta A la Diabla (favorite), enchiladas, nachos, guacamole Not so much: Taquitos, queso fundido The cocktails I would say are solid. They have a massive selection of cocktails and spirits so you're bound to find something you like. As far as the service, when we dine in everything is relatively speedy. When ordering for take out, sometimes the food is a little longer than the estimated time. ”
